Somali Cat

Breed Appearance
The Somali cat first appeared in the US in 1953. It is often described as a long-haired Abyssinian, as the breed is the product of a recessive gene in Abyssinian cats. The Somali cat is characterized by a fox like appearance with a bushy tail, semi-long coat, almond eyes and large pointed ears. There are a total of 28 colors of Somali cat.

Somali cats are active and lively. They are sociable and enjoy being near humans, but are not often fond of being cuddled.
