The Manx cat breed originates from the Isle of Man and has a naturally occurring mutation that shortens the tail. Manx cats often have a small stub of a tail, but are sometimes completely tailless. They come in all coat colours and patterns. Long-haired variants are sometimes considered a separate breed, known as the Cymric cat.
Manx cats are reportedly loyal to their humans and also get along well with other pets, including dogs. They are very playful and great jumpers due to their powerful back legs. They are often fascinated by water.
