The Cymric cat breed can be considered a longer haired variety of the Manx breed. The length of the fur is all that distinguishes the two apart; in fact kittens of either kind may appear in the same litter. The Cymric is sometimes referred to as the Longhair Manx. Cymric cats come in a variety of tail lengths. The Manx tailless gene is dominant, so all Cymrics that possess this gene will either have a shorter than the average tail, or indeed be completely tailless.
Cymric cats are reportedly loyal to their humans and also get along well with other pets, including dogs. They are very playful and great jumpers. Like Manx, Cymric cats are often fascinated by water.
